SEMINAR DECLARATION
1. The delegates to this Seminar recognize that cancer
is a major menace to healthy living and progress of
human race. (It puts major obstacles in the evolutionary
path).
2. We recognize that there is yet no certain cure for
cancer with the best of modern scientific approaches,
but prevention is possible.
3. We recognize the need for all medical practitioners
and holistic health management professionals to work
together and take the best from each therapeutic system
and integrate them together for the benefit of the cancer
patient.
4. We also believe that the threat of cancer
would be significantly lower if preventive measures
are undertaken through environmental pollution control,
avoidance of carcinogenic food preservatives and ingredients,
control of usage of plastics, avoidance of carcinogenic
habits and adopting a healthy lifestyle, positive attitude
and diet. The Government should bring in a legislation
making it mandatory for manufacturers to avoid usage
of carcinogenic items and list out the ingredients
on the outer cover / shell of the product.
5. The delegates also strongly recommend promotion of
measures to rehabilitate cancer patients
PROPERLY AND make them live a fuller and as
normal a life as possible. Such measures are
well known and need to be effectively promoted.
6. Let the Government be impressed upon to create a
National Cancer Institute and adequate
funds be provided for research in the anti cancer therapies
taking the best out of all avoidable therapies of different
kinds.
