Cancer Awareness & Early Detection Program At Mahaboob Nagar, Andra Pradesh

An Outreach programme was held on Sunday, 22nd February 2004 at Palamoor Nursing Home, Palamoor, Mahaboob Nagar, Andhara Pradesh, India following the second International Seminar of 10th February 2004.
This Cancer Awareness Camp was organized by AM Charitable Trust in co-ordination with BIBI Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad, Sanjana's Palamoor Nursing Home, Lion's Club, Palamoor and "Skhibhava" of the leading Telugu daily, "EENADU". The camp was held at palamoor nursing home from 11am to 4 pm. 84 peoples took part in the screening.

The camp was inaugurated by Sri K. Madhusudan Rao, lAS, District Collector, Mahboobnagar. Besides, Dr.K.Aravind, CEO, Sanjana's Palamoor Nursing Home, Dr. C. Venkata Rami Reddy, Co-ordinator District Hospitals, Dr. Manmohan Reddy, A~Natraj, Red Cross society Member, VSRK Prasad, Lion's Club, Palamoor, Mr. Gandhi, Mr. Ramu Goud, District Statistical Officer, Chandrasekhar, District Health Educator, Ramanjaneyulu also participated. Sri P.B. Raghavendra Rao, our CAO also spoke. The collector lauded the efforts of the Trust and requested to organize more such Cancer Awareness Camps in the remote places of the district. He assured co-operation and help from the District Departments to the Trust.
Oncologists Dr. B. B. Narsimha Reddy, Dr. B. Krishna Kumar from BIBI Cancer Care Foundation, Hyderabad attended on the patients. BIBI Cancer Hospital provided us with the paramedical staff, medicine kit and an ambulance for the Camp, besides Mr. S. Sridhar, Mr. K.V. Rameshwar Rao, Mrs. Sheeja and Mrs. Bindu were of great help in organizir:1g this camp, AM Charitable Trust is thankful to them.
