Outreach Camp At Medchal

The 7th Outreach camp was organized at Lakshmamma High School, Medchal, (40 kms away from Hyderabad) on Sunday, 23rd May 2004. Rotarian Dr. D.N. Gauri, President of Rotary Club, Secundrabad sponsored this camp but desired that the credit should go to his home club.

217 patients from various villages in the Mandai attended the camp. Dr. R. Srikanth, Oncologist, MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. C. Chandrashekhar, President, SAHAYA, Dr. Mrs. Shakeela Begum, Oncologist, BIBI Cancer Hospital along with the paramedical staff attended on the patients.

An established case of cancer reported in the camp and the same was referred to BIBI Cancer Hospital for further management.

A public meeting was organized to inaugurate the camp. The Sarpanch of Medchal, Mr. Rajesh Goud, Mr. Mallikarjun, MPTC, Medchal, Mr. Vikram Reddy of BJP, Dr. D.N. Gauri, Dr. Chandrashekhar, Mr. K.S. Madhavan, and Mr. Sanjeeva Rao, Sub Inspector of Medchal Police spoke on the occasion. Mr. P.B.Raghavendra Rao, CAO, AM Charitable Trust was the 'Master of Ceremony'.

The arrangements like lunch, publicity among villagers and other conveniences were totally looked after by Mr. K. Sudarshan, C. I., Mr. I. Sanjeeva Rao, S.I., Medchal and his police staff.

Mr. Pradeep Mittal, Trustee, AM Charitable Trust and Mrs. Chitra Mittal also attended the camp organised by the Rotary Club of Secunderabad and we were part of the invited groups. The Trust records its grateful thanks to Dr. D.N. Gauri for his kind gesture of sponsorship.
