Awareness & Detection Program at Amboth Thanda, Manchala Mandal,
R. R. District, Andhra Pradesh, India.
An Outreach
programme was held on Sunday 18th January 2004 at Amboth Thaanda
village in Maanchala Mandal (65 kms away from Hyderabad). This
Cancer Awareness Camp was conducted in collaboration with Inter
Cultural Cooperation Foundation (ICF) at their new and huge School
premises from 11 am to 4 pm. 172 villagers took part in the screening
and 9 persons were detected to be suffering from Cancer Symptoms.
Oncologists, Dr. CSK Prakash, Dr. Srikanth and Dr. K. Prakash
from MNJ Cancer Hospital & Regional Cancer Center, Hyderabad,
Dr. B. Krishna Kumar from BIBI Cancer Care Foundation, Hyderabad,
Dr. N. Srinivasa Rao, Homeopathic Physician and M.D. of Sri Ramakrishna
Homeo Stores (P) Ltd., Hyderabad and Dr. C. Chandrasekhar, Consultant
Physician and President, SAHAYA, Hyderabad attended the patients.
BIBI Cancer Hospital provided with the paramedical staff, medicine
kit and an ambulance for the Camp. AM Charitable Trust records
its thanks to Dr. B.N. Rao, Director/Vice-Chancellor MNJ Institute
of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre, Hyderabad, Dr. Viquar
Syed Mehdi, CEO, BIBI Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad and Dr. Asif
Mirza, Chairman, ICF, Hyderabad for their Co-operation and help
for this camp. Dr. C. Chandrasekhar, Health Consultant and President,
SAHAYA, Hyderabad, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) SRR Aiyengar, Sri N. Motilal,
Head Master of the ICF School and Sri P.B. Raghavendra Rao, CAO
of the Trust spoke on the inauguration of the camp.
