Is a native of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh and was
born on May 01,1932. He had his education upto Intermediate
of Madras University at the local Osmania College, as Kurnool
was a part of the composite State of Madras presidency in those
days.
He later studied for one year B.A. and when he came to the
next year of his studies in B.A. he got a seat in the G.C.I.M.
course at the College of Integrated Medicine, Madras. As it
was a Medical course he joined that college in the year 1951.
After completing G.C.I.M at Madras he did his House-Surgeoncy
course under Lt.Col. R.K.Chettur, an eminent surgeon and the
Superintendent of the Government District Headquarters Hospital,
Cuddapah.
He joined as a lecturer at the Government Ayurvedic College
Hyderabad in 1959. On deputation by the Government of A.P. he
went to Banaras Hindu University in the year 1963 to complete
his Doctorate course in Ayurveda at the Institute of Medical
sciences. He came under the influence of Dr.K.N.Udupa and Dr.P.J.Deshpande
and studied Shalya Shalakya for three years. His major work
for his Doctoral Degree was 'Muscle Regeneration and wound Healing
under the influence of a Vedic plant MAMSA ROHANI (SOYMIDA FEBRIFUGA-Meliaceae)
-an experimental study’. In 1969 the Government of A.P
selected him as the principal of the Government Ayurvedic College,
Hyderabad. He held that post till 1979. Later on he was elevated
to the post of Additional Director Ayurveda in the Department
of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy. During his
tenure as the Principal of the Government Ayurvedic College
Hyderabad, he also held concurrently the post of Dean, Faculty
of Ayurveda & Unani of the Osmania University, Hyderabad.
He was responsible at that time to get the PG courses in Ayurveda
and Unani started at the respective colleges leading to the
award of M.D.Ayurveda and M.D.Unani respectively. He was also
a Govt. of India Nominee on the First Central Council of Indian
Medicine, which was presided over by Pundit. Shiv Sharma.
Underwent following Management courses at The Administrative
Staff College of India, Bellavista, Hyderabad.

Mohan, Kumaon (A Govt. of India undertaking).
Member on the expert committee on Reproductive and Child
Health projects, Ministry of Health & Family welfare,
Govt. of India, New Delhi.

REGULATE THE TRANS-GASTRIC MUCOSAL FLUX POTENTIAL IN CASES
OF GASTRITIS SYNDROME.
· FIRST SUCCESSFUL TRIAL OF A COMPOUND
HERBO-MINERAL PREPARATION MR-1078 TRITURATED WITH NEEM LEAF
EXTRACT IN CASES OF JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS WHICH HAD BROKEN
out IN AN EPIDEMIC FORM IN ANANTAPUR DISTRICT IN 1979.
· INTRODUCTION OF SPECIALLY PROCESSED PIPER LONGUM
AS AN EFFECTIVE IMMUNO-MODULATORY AGENT CUM THERAPEUTIC TOOL
IN TREATING CASES OF AMA VATA, (RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS).
· DRUG-STANDARDIZATION OF ASAVAS AND ARISHTAS BY LOCATING
THE FERMENTING PATHWAY.
· STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF, PRIYALAH, WHICH IS SUPPOSED
TO CONTAIN REQUISITE AMOUNT OF ARGININE AND THUS SUPPOSED
TO ENHANCE THE VASO DILATATION IN PERIPHERAL TISSUES THROUGH
THE NITRIC OXIDE PATHWAY, IN CASES OF OLIGO-SPERMIA AND LACK
